Xu Zhi, Deputy Secretary and Mayor of Wuhu Municipal Party Committee, Leads Delegation for Investment Promotion Visit to MEMSIC and Other Enterprises

On March 3, Xu Zhi, Deputy Secretary and Mayor of the Wuhu Municipal Party Committee, led a delegation to Hangzhou, Shaoxing and other cities for investment promotion and site inspections. The team visited enterprises, inspected projects and held symposiums to advance targeted industrial cooperation. Pan Feng, municipal leader, joined the inspection tour.

The delegation first visited Shaoxing MEMSIC Semiconductor Co., Ltd. They inspected the operation of production lines and the R&D progress of key products on-site, and held discussions with Huang Haiyan, Chairperson of MEMSIC. Xu Zhi introduced that Wuhu is focusing on developing pillar industries including intelligent connected new energy vehicles, intelligent robots & smart equipment, and aerospace, while accelerating the fostering of new-quality productive forces. He expressed the hope that leveraging its inherent strengths, MEMSIC could deepen cooperation based on Wuhu’s industrial foundation, facilitate the landing of high-quality projects in Wuhu and achieve win-win development.

Subsequently, the delegation paid a targeted investment visit to Qiantang Laboratory and held talks with Chen Dongmin, Chairman of the Laboratory, to align on cooperation matters. Xu Zhi stated that he looks forward to further exchanges with Qiantang Laboratory. Both parties can fully leverage their respective strengths and strengthen collaboration in areas such as industrial incubation, commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, and extending, supplementing and strengthening the industrial chain. Technological innovation will empower the high-quality industrial development of Wuhu.

Leaders of the visited enterprises and institutions all remarked that Wuhu boasts an outstanding business environment and efficient, professional government services. Their businesses are highly aligned with Wuhu’s industrial development priorities. Going forward, they will enhance communication and coordination with Wuhu, deepen cooperation in line with industrial development trends, steadily expand bilateral collaboration, and strive to deliver more tangible cooperation outcomes.
