As a hot‑topic in today’s tech landscape, humanoid robots impose extremely demanding requirements on sensor precision, reliability and miniaturization.

MEMSIC’s magnetic encoder chip is a new‑generation MEMS sensor built upon Anisotropic Magnetoresistance (AMR) technology. Compared with conventional Hall‑based magnetic encoders, it delivers higher precision, lower noise and reduced temperature drift. Integrated with an ASIC signal‑processing chip, it outputs high‑precision absolute angular position and can substitute for optical encoders in selected application scenarios.

The MEMSIC MDA2000BT magnetic encoder is designed for absolute angle measurement of robot rotary joints, BLDC motor control and other use‑cases. It achieves INL angular accuracy of better than ±0.07°, with support for multiple output formats and supply‑voltage options.

Fueled by the rapid advancement of large‑scale AI models and embodied intelligence, humanoid robots keep raising the performance bar for sensors.

MEMSIC will continue to ramp up R&D investment, focusing on improving sensor precision, lowering power consumption and strengthening data‑processing capabilities, so as to contribute to large‑scale commercial adoption of humanoid robots.
