MEMSIC Conducts Dense Business Visits to Google, Abbott and Other U.S. Enterprises to Deepen Global Intelligent Sensing Partnerships
Release Time:2026.09.09
Recently, Huang Haiyan, Chairperson of MEMSIC, led a team on a business trip to the United States, meeting with the team of MEMSIC, Inc., MEMSIC’s U.S. subsidiary. The delegation visited Google, Abbott, Cobot and other enterprises, holding in-depth exchanges with relevant executives and technical experts on cutting-edge fields including consumer electronics, intelligent driving, healthcare and robotics.

Backed by MEMSIC, Inc. based in Silicon Valley and its local team for sales, marketing, business development and technical support, MEMSIC continuously stays close to North American customer demands to deliver efficient and timely product and technical services. This visit further consolidates the foundation of MEMSIC’s cooperation with global clients and creates new opportunities to expand application scenarios for MEMSIC’s geomagnetic sensors, ultra-low-power accelerometers, IMUs, Hall switches, eOIS and magnetic encoders.
Deepened Cooperation with Google to Expand Applications in Smart Terminals and Intelligent Driving
On the morning of September 3 local time, Huang Haiyan and her team visited Google’s campus in Mountain View, California, for face-to-face meetings with relevant department leaders of Google. Oleg, Director of North America Sales & Marketing, Lydia, Director of North America Business Development, and Kevin, Global Technical Support Director of MEMSIC, joined the discussion.
During the meeting, Huang Haiyan shared MEMSIC’s recent adjustments and progress in strategy, organization and product roadmap. She stated that as smart devices impose rising requirements for environmental perception, data processing and coordinated response, sensing-storage-computing integration has emerged as a major industrial evolution trend. The collaboration between MEMSIC and Google serves as a concrete embodiment of this trend in end applications.
Currently, the two parties’ cooperation covers many areas including geomagnetic sensors. MEMSIC products have been adopted in multiple Google products and deployed for high-precision geomagnetic sensing in Waymo autonomous driving applications. To meet the combined requirements of thinness, low power consumption and high performance for terminals such as smartwatches, MEMSIC has also developed customized ultra-thin sensors for Google.
Building on existing collaboration, both sides discussed opportunities to further expand product and application partnerships. Huang Haiyan expressed MEMSIC’s intention to explore new cooperation opportunities with Google across more product lines such as IMUs, Hall switches, eOIS and magnetic encoders. Drawing on its accumulated expertise in sensor R&D, manufacturing, technical support and market services, MEMSIC aims to deliver products, insights and technical recommendations that better address underlying customer needs.
Supply chain assurance was also a key topic of the discussion. Huang Haiyan introduced: “MEMSIC has established a dual supply chain system with overseas partner fabs and the Shaoxing wafer fab supporting each other. This framework balances global resource coordination and local manufacturing capacity, delivering reliable guarantees for stable product supply and long-term collaboration.”
Focus on Healthcare: Advancing Coordination Between Ultra-Low-Power Sensors and Algorithms
In the afternoon of the same day, Huang Haiyan’s team visited Abbott’s campus in Alameda and exchanged views with Abbott’s relevant leaders and technical experts. The meeting sought to push forward bilateral cooperation, focusing on the application of ultra-low-power sensors and supporting algorithms in medical devices.

Abbott showed strong interest in MEMSIC’s ultra-low-power sensors and associated algorithms. Addressing medical equipment requirements for power consumption, reliability and functional compatibility, Huang Haiyan noted that MEMSIC’s relevant products can satisfy these technical specifications, and the company stands ready to support customers in algorithm development and solution adaptation.
“MEMSIC not only possesses capabilities for MEMS sensor design and manufacturing, but can also provide customers with holistic solutions including algorithms,” said Huang Haiyan. “This visit is more than a product exchange; it represents strategic communication for MEMSIC’s next-phase market layout. By combining sensors and algorithms, we aim to deliver more comprehensive technical support for medical product innovation.”
When elaborating on MEMSIC’s global footprint, Huang Haiyan pointed out that MEMSIC was the first MEMS sensor company listed on NASDAQ. After privatization, its U.S. entity MEMSIC, Inc. remains rooted in Silicon Valley. MEMSIC’s global team for technology, sales, marketing and business development has long served North American customers, enabling rapid response to client demands and on-site technical support.
Huang Haiyan remarked that Abbott is a leading global enterprise in healthcare. Leveraging market-proven sensor products and supporting solutions, MEMSIC looks forward to supporting Abbott in developing more competitive medical products and advancing the implementation of joint projects through continuous communication.
During the U.S. trip, the MEMSIC team also visited Cobot and other enterprises to discuss robotic applications and potential future cooperation, gaining deeper understanding of demand for intelligent sensing technologies in cutting-edge markets.
From Product Collaboration to System Empowerment: Accelerating Global Market Expansion
From Google’s smart terminal and autonomous driving applications, to Abbott’s healthcare product initiatives, and emerging requirements in robotics, MEMSIC’s U.S. visit covered multiple representative application directions for smart sensors. It also reflects sustained global customer demand for high-precision, low-power, miniaturized sensors and algorithm integration capabilities.
For MEMSIC, this intensive series of visits not only deepens existing customer relationships, but also marks a key initiative for the company to proactively expand global partnerships in its new development stage. Supported by its global ecosystem spanning R&D, manufacturing, sales, business development and technical support, MEMSIC is evolving from a sensor component supplier into a provider of integrated sensing solutions. While meeting customers’ component demands, MEMSIC offers additional support in algorithm adaptation, solution development and application innovation.
Going forward, MEMSIC will continue to leverage the synergy between global R&D and local manufacturing, deepen communication and cooperation with world-leading enterprises, and deploy geomagnetic sensors, IMUs, ultra-low-power accelerometers, Hall switches, eOIS and magnetic encoders into more smart terminal, intelligent driving, healthcare and robotic applications. With continuously innovated intelligent sensing technologies, MEMSIC will create greater value for customers worldwide.
