Jiwei Network: What opportunities will the AI robot market bring to Chinese chip enterprises? Where are MEMSIC’s competitive strengths?

Jiang Leyue: The emerging AI robot market represents an excellent opportunity for domestic chip companies. Since it is a nascent market, nearly all market participants are starting from the same baseline.

Furthermore, Chinese enterprises have moved beyond the simple phase of "domestic substitution" and entered a higher stage of development. Domestic manufacturers have also achieved tremendous improvements in product performance and quality over recent years.

In addition, many players in this new market — our customers — are headquartered or based in China. Therefore, local Chinese suppliers can gain substantial advantages through rapid response and localized technical support.

At MEMSIC, we have developed multiple products over the past few years to address market demands, including our newly released 6-axis IMU, high-precision magnetic encoder and eOIS image stabilization driver chip. Complemented by our mature product portfolio, such as geomagnetic sensors, capacitive accelerometers and thermal accelerometers, these product lines are well suited for this new market.
