[MEMSIC Lecture Hall] Session 1 | “Smart Sensing, Boundless Future”: Getting Started with MEMSIC Products
Release Time:2026.08.21
On August 21, the inaugural session of the MEMSIC Lecture Hall was successfully held in the training room on the second floor of MEMSIC (Wuxi) Co., Ltd. With the theme “Sensing Everything, Boundless Future: Getting Started with MEMSIC Products”, the training featured Ju Gao, Director of Application Engineering at MEMSIC, as the guest speaker. Junwei Liu, Director of MEMSIC (Wuxi) Co., Ltd., hosted the event.

Liu Junwei extended a warm welcome to the attending leaders, speaker and all participants. He introduced the background and purpose of the lecture: the company officially launched the MEMSIC Lecture Hall series of sharing sessions. This opening session delivers a detailed introduction to MEMSIC’s product portfolio. Centered on a range of mature sensing hardware exhibits, the event intuitively demonstrates the robust strengths of the company’s chips — stability, high sensitivity and broad compatibility.
Qu Cao, President of MEMSIC, delivered the opening address for the MEMSIC Lecture Hall. Based on the current industry landscape and the company’s product roadmap, he systematically elaborated on the value and long-term significance of this training. Drawing on decades of professional experience and in-depth industry expertise, he shared insights on career growth. Qu Cao spoke highly of the company’s regular internal training system. He remarked that MEMSIC is a united big family, and every employee constitutes a core driver of corporate growth. Gathered together to discuss corporate development, product upgrades and future plans serves as an effective way to align team consensus, refine work ethics and boost the company’s core competitiveness.
Speaker Ju Gao presented a special product briefing covering the company’s core business and product ecosystem, market status of flagship products, emerging business layout, capacitive accelerometer portfolio, and sensor applications for mobile phones.
He introduced that MEMSIC is a national-level Specialized, Sophisticated, Unique and Innovative “Little Giant” enterprise, one of China’s Top 10 MEMS firms. It is among China’s early semiconductor enterprises and the world’s first MEMS company listed on NASDAQ. Adopting the Fab-Lite operating model, MEMSIC keeps expanding its in-house production lines, masters core front-end processes, and boasts notable cost and competitive advantages. As a research-driven enterprise, the company holds over 40% market share of magnetic sensors in the Android market and a 30% share for capacitive accelerometers in the Android ecosystem. Demand for mainstream products remains strong. MEMSIC has built a dual supply chain system and actively developed the Wuhu base to expand IMU-related businesses. For capacitive accelerometers, the high-volume MC3419 consumes roughly 77 μA. The ultra-low-power accelerometer for wearables draws only 0.25 μA in sniff mode, with steady progress in outreach to overseas customers.

In addition, he illustrated real-world mobile use cases to explain the deployment of various sensors and the value of in-house algorithms. He covered technical solutions including electronic compasses, indoor pedestrian dead reckoning, proprietary virtual gyroscope algorithms, Hall switch detection for foldable screens, pedometers and AR pedestrian navigation. He emphasized that algorithms represent a core competitive moat for the enterprise.
During the Q&A session, participants raised questions actively. Ju Gao provided thorough answers covering brand exposure, product applications and customer development, creating a vibrant atmosphere.
Liu Junwei delivered the closing remarks. He noted that the event creates a face-to-face learning and exchange platform for new hires across departments. He encouraged all employees to embrace ownership mindset, contribute ideas and grow alongside the company. The Administration Department will continue to run the MEMSIC Lecture Hall on a regular basis, inviting leaders from each business line to deliver thematic sharing sessions. He urged everyone to devote time and energy, grow in lockstep with MEMSIC, and jointly pursue broader development prospects.
